StrongerMemory™ Info Session – February 23
In the last few newsletters, we have mentioned the StrongerMemory™ program that AHA will begin offering in March. On Wednesday, Feb. 23 from 2 to 3 p.m., AHA will offer a StrongerMemory™ information session. February’s calendar includes AHA’s Social, Racial and Equity Group book discussion of “African Americans of Alexandria, Virginia, Beacons of Light in the Twentieth Century” which reports the experiences of 67 Black residents of the city whose stories are important to an understanding of the city’s history. AHA Participates in Scottish Walk in Old Town!
Even with the weather forecast being a little on the bleak side, twenty-four AHA members signed up to participate in the annual Scottish Christmas Parade in Old Town Alexandria. Turns out that the day had beautiful blue skies and was not too cold. [read full article]
