Speaker Biographies
Kris Norman-Major, Ph.D. is professor of public administration at Hamline University where she has taught and directed the graduate programs in public administration for 15 years. Before coming to Hamline she taught at George Mason University and worked for the Minnesota Department of Education. Kris holds a Masters of Public Affairs from the Humphrey School at the University of Minnesota and a Doctorate in Political Science from Vanderbilt University. Each summer she teaches a National Public Policy course which brings a group of graduate students from Hamline to Washington, DC to experience the policy process up close and personally.
Barbara Knight, Ph.D. is Professor Emeritus at George Mason University, where she taught courses in Constitutional Law, Judicial Studies, and Political Philosophy for 25 years. She has published books on prisoner’s right in America, separation of powers, and comparative British and American government. She is a member of and frequent speaker at Mount Vernon at Home.
