We continue our monthly discussion on the topic of racial equity with this discussion led by AHA member Jane King. This month’s discussion centers on Brit Bennett’s 2020 novel The Vanishing Half, a story about twin sisters, inseparable as children, who ultimately choose to live in two very different worlds—one black and one white. The book explores families, communities, and racial identities. This novel debuted at number one on The New York Times fiction bestseller list. HBO acquired the rights to develop a limited series with Bennett as executive producer. This is a Zoom program; please register by January 26 via AHA Hub or by call or email to the AHA office.
