Marshmallow has been a well-known source of relief for both adults and children since the Middle Ages. Shirley Cherkasky will trace, with images and words, its journey from demulcent and cure-all to its contemporary role as a creator of happiness.
Her presentation is an outgrowth of a paper she delivered in September, 2012, at a meeting in Sweden of the International Commission on Ethnological Food Research.”
The group will meet at her apartment at the Alexandria House.
