Victoria Almquist, Secretary

Victoria retired in 2015 from the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids where she was the Director of Outreach, managing a coalition of public health and medical groups that advocate for changes in tobacco policy at the national, state, and local levels. She previously worked in advocacy and leadership  positions for a children’s hospital association, a nuclear arms control coalition, and an organization focused on women and the military. Victoria currently serves on the Alexandria Commission on Aging and is an executive volunteer with Compassion and Choices. She has a B.A. in Communications from Auburn University and an M.Ed. in Human Services Management from Boston University. Victoria is a 38-year resident of Alexandria, having lived here on and off, due to her upbringing in a military family, since she was 2.
