DC’s Beacon newspaper has a nice article on villages in its January issue. Did you know there are about seventy-five (75) villages in the Greater Washington DC area? Villages work together to share ideas and resources. All thirteen villages in Washington DC have teamed up to become more efficient, creating DC Villages Collaborative (DCVC). The January 2024 AHA Newsletter is now available, and there’s lots of good information to read about. Lots of news in the November Newsletter! AHA gears up to participate in Alexandria’s annual Scottish Christmas parade on December 2. Interest Groups are launched as another means of social connections. There’s also a follow-up article to the September’s event about hospice care. The calendar is full with in-person and Zoom events.

AHA is ramping up its tech support for members. Tech Thursday, a recurring group tech training session, will be held on the third Thursday of every month. Tech volunteers are also available to help members with troubleshooting or one-on-one training. AHA member Howard Weiss continues his monthly interviews this month with Councilman Canek Aguire. AHA member Brenda Bloch Young shares a financial tip and AHA member Alan Dinsmore shares information about Medicare price negotiations for ten drugs.
